I was amazed by the joints of this felt doll but felt it could have been stuffed more firmly. The name tag and necklace she wears are very creative. The artist was very responsive throughout the buying process and I can"t wait to finish my doll.

Finding a Home for my "children".

Five years before I found Etsy, while attending a seminar for my job in a Daycare School, the instructor asked us to complete this sentence as part of an exercise. " I am..." While others came up with worthy things like, "I am a teacher", "I am an advocate for children", "I am a nurturer"; my first thought was, " I am an artist".

I had known for some time that after fourteen years it was time to go. As much as I loved my job and would miss the children, it was time to stop thinking about being an artist and go be one.

My work represents the children, currently in doll form and Soft Sculpture. My goal is to suggest that you may have seen this child before; in a photograph or your own past, or on the street yesterday. I love my work and look forward to sharing it with this great Etsy community.
